Bologna - Performance Ducati Desmosedici GP11 still disappointing in the MotoGP test at Sepang. Ducati stronghold also promised to immediately solve the problems of the newest motor.
Two Ducati rider, Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden, failed to appear impressive in testing at Sepang. In two days, they do not even enter the top ten rankings.
Rossi said one factor that makes him unable to perform optimally is about the motor. The Italian rider is claimed not sure about the chassis set-ups on the GP11.
However, Ducati assess the Sepang test results do not represent the full ability of GP11. They see there are non-technical factors that make the drivers failed to achieve good results.
"In Malaysia we do not finish in the position in accordance with our real target, but also because of luck," said Ducati boss, Filippo Preziosi, as quoted by Autosport.
"After a promising start, Valentino became ill and lost a full day on the track, forcing him to do all the work remaining on the last day," adds Preziosi.
Related complaints from Rossi about the GP11, Preziosi promised his team will immediately follow up on it. Ducati this week will conduct a three-day test at Jerez with development rider, Franco Battaini.
"Based on feedback from Valentino and Nicky, we take employment in a parallel program that will enable us to provide a concrete solution for the next test in Qatar," explained Preziosi.
"We also continue to work on chassis set-ups, collect data which we will return to the plant on Monday for comparison with in Sepang," due diligence.
